this event is called the Ring of blood its a high endurance Event where anything can happen from items breaking to permanent disabilities to items being entirely destroyed to Permanent or Temporary death.
i aware some of the requirements and penalties seem too much this is to avoid "spamming" the event and "power leveling" a character of it see Xepher for any questions regarding this event.
Entry Fees
Wanna play gotta play the entry fees may seem a little steep but due to the potential prizes and experience offered you must pay the arena a entry fee which is as follows.
Levels 1-4 1,000 gold
levels 5-8 2,000 gold
levels 9-12 3,000 gold
levels 13-16 5,000 gold
levels 17-20 Varies
Levels 21+ Varies
another player cannot pay your fee it must be from the character who is going to participate.
on that note don't be lame and "receive" payment days before the event your supposed too fill out a discussion form for trading items either way.
Standard flow of the fights
The ring of blood consists of 5 rounds each with three fights that happen right after another.
you only get a chance to leave the arena after fully finishing a round.
You get 1 minute ic break inbetween rounds to heal, buff ect
You roll initiative at the start of each round and your initiative carries over to the third part of each round the new opponent rolls initiative to determine its order.
The fights are randomized and based on your APL (average party level) they don't get "harder" as you progress the randomizer can throw anything from a weak mob to one strong mob to a whole horde of mobs you just never know.
Penalties for losing
Exp penalty: If you die during a bout and your party wins you do not get experience for that victory per the "survive a fight" rules If your party loses the battle entirely you only receive 5% of total earned experience and 0 gold.
quitting the Ring of blood early is allowed as mentioned earlier, however quitting early yields a 50% penalty to gold and experience earned this penalty is reduced by 5% for every round that you have successfully finished
Other Penalties can vary depending on how your demise happens.
Prizes
Experience: A player earns experience based on the number of battles they have won
Gold: a player earns gold based on the number of battles they have won.
Extra prizes: A player has a 10% chance of earning a random item (or gold) based on the monster they defeated that round.
In addition a player earns a laurel based on how many rounds they have won.these laurels are mostly for status
Win 1 round: a decoratize laurel
win 2 round2: a bronze laurel
win 3 round2: a silver laurel
win 4 rounds: a gold laurel
win 5 rounds: a platinum laurel
Full victory
A full victory earns a player the above prizes mentioned, ontop of earning a item based on their class, level and MIL (if it applies) these prizes tho powerful are attuned to the player and if attempted to be given to anyone else or sold simply turn into a worthless rusty item (or whatever the case may be)
